Decision Tuesday continues.
Former Rice forward David Chadwick plans to transfer to Valparaiso, coach Bryce Drew announced. Chadwick must sit out next season, per NCAA rules, and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Chadwick said earlier this month he was leaving to seek more playing time at another school.
“David is going to be a great addition to our university and basketball program,” Drew said. “He is a very skilled player who carries a 3.5 GPA. We are looking forward to having his work ethic and determination as part of our practices next season.”
Chadwick, a 6-9 sophomore, averaged 1.5 points and 0.9 rebounds in seven minutes during 30 games last season for the Owls.
Earlier Tuesday, former Owls point guard Dylan Ennis announced he will transfer to Villanova.
